March Madness

March Madness 2013 FlyerLOWER MANHATTAN MARCH MADNESS

“March Madness is a phenomenon that grips the national sports psyche from the first week of March through the first week of April. March Madness is the moniker that is given to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments. These tournaments determine the national champions of college basketball.” – Kevin Bosner

Lower East Side Sports Academy organizes its sports programs to coincide date wise with each respective sport’s major events at the pro or collegiate level to both enhance participant excitement and educate participants on collegiate and pro sport structure.

Our tournament, the “Lower Manhattan March Madness”, invites teams from all over Lower Manhattan to compete and coincides with the NCAA’s popular March Madness. Inviting teams from different programs and different neighborhoods allows kids an opportunity to open their cultural horizon as well as promote good will and cooperation between local programs. By having the tournament coincide with the collegiate tournament, March Madness, it will not only enhance the excitement for our local tournament, but it will enhance the enjoyment of the college tournament as well.
